Large obelisk-shaped clock in turquoise blue marble. Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes: trophies, allegories of astronomy, games of putti... Tip of an armillary sphere with eight orbits. Threaded suspension. Dial signed Dubuc in Paris. End of the Louis XVI period. (Very small accidents). Height: 73 cm - Width: 32 cm - Depth: 22 cm An identical obelisk clock is kept in the Louvre museum (OA 5308) Jean Baptiste Dubuc (1743-1819), a member of the Masonic lodges, was the master clockmaker of the Count of Artois. Provenance: Imperial family.
