First edition, illustrated with 320 finely lithographed color plates. A very fine copy, from the fine library of Dr. Félix Durosier (heraldic bookplate, late 19th century), then from the natural history library of Gilbert Dufaux (bookplates and embossed stamps on the title pages and in the margins of plates 39 and 161).
