In-8, 15.3 x 20.7 cm, 124 ff (of 128), [a]4 (missing), A-P8, Q4, modern tan calf binding, smooth muted spine. Beautiful philosophical incunabulum, printed in Latin in Bologna. Matteo Bosso (1428-1502) was a Neoplatonist philosopher, close to Marsilio Ficino and the Florentine humanists. This dissertation on wisdom ends with an epigram by Marcantonio Aldegati (1450-c.1505), a humanist from Mantua. Printer's mark on verso of penultimate leaf. The first 4 leaves are missing.
