Line cavalry saber, Model AN XIII, modified in 1816. Leather-covered grip with watermark. Brass mountings, four-pronged guard with three rounded prongs, hallmarked beneath the guard plate. Straight blade with double fuller, hallmarked "L," with a tip tapering toward the center. Flat back with remnants of engraving from the Royal Manufactory of Klingenthal. Sheath (oxidized) made of sheet iron with two bands. Lyre-shaped pommel. Length: 115 cm. A.B.E.
