Italy, Grand Duchy of Tuscany - Order of St. Stephen, founded in 1561, set of knights of justice including: the breast cross in gold and enamel, the branches angled with simple lilies, surmounted by a royal crown articulated with eight moving arches, eagle's head hallmark, ribbon sewn with hooks; the plate in vermeil, with eight gilded rays adorned with the cross enameled in red and angled with Florentine lilies in full bloom, cartouche from Maison Lemaitre, rue Coquillère n°42 on the back, boar's head hallmark, fastening by toggle pin and two hooks. Preserved in the original black chagrin case (oxidation, soiling, wear and deformation of the case). The cross: 50x30.3mm, gross weight: 12.3 g The plate: 67mm France, mid-19th century. TTB to SUP
