Italy, Kingdom of the Two Sicilies - Order of Saint Ferdinand and Merit, founded in 1800, set of grand crosses comprising : the important gold jewel in the form of a sun with alternating gold rays and white-enameled fleurs-de-lis, the obverse center in three parts, the reverse in two, large articulated royal crown with twelve arches, double flat suspension ring; the silver plate chased with openwork diamond points, the enameled gold center, on the back an oval cartouche from Lemaitre, 40 rue Coquillère, Paris, suspension by pin and two hooks, boar's head hallmark; the scarf complete; the long-grained red morocco case, signed Lemaitre 40 rue Coquillère, the lid stamped with the royal coat of arms. 106.3 x 77.8 mm, weight: 86.7 g, plate: 83.6 mm France, second half of the 19th century.
