After an engraving by Hieronimus Hopfer (active between 1520 and 1550). Attributed to a Pénicaud family enameler, Jean II or Jean III.
Limoges, mid-16th century.

Diameter: 8 cm
The Musée du Louvre holds a very similar medallion from the mid-16th century, signed MP (OA 2525).
A copy is kept at the Clark Art Institute, Williamstown, Massachusetts, USA, (inv 1960.239).
