JAPAN - Edo period (1603-1868), 19th century Kobako for miniature bow and arrow in kimpun lacquer with gold, silver and red hira maki-e lacquer decoration of clouds, blinds and flower decoration. The interior in hirame lacquer has two compartments, one for the removable bow, the other with compartments for arrows. Signed Tosui Hanagensai. (Cradle, bumps, small chips). Dimensions: 31.8 x 7.7 x 7.9 cm Provenance: former André Barrier collection (1870-1957).
