JAPAN, Imari - Meiji period (1868-1912) Large porcelain dish decorated in blue underglaze and iron-red, green and gold enamels with peony medallions surrounded by panels of a bird on a cart and paulownia alternating with cherry blossoms, the wing decorated with fish and seigaiha motifs. (Wear, chip to rim). Diameter: 47.5 cm Provenance: former André Barrier collection. Also included: - A poly-lobed dish with Imari-style floral basket decoration, the wing adorned with peonies and cherry tree. (Chips, wear, restoration, crack).
