One of the classic fortification works of the 18th century, illustrated with 38 engraved plates. Leblond (1704-1781) was the Dauphin's mathematics teacher. Good condition. Typographical label of the Le Fournier bookshop in Brest (18th century) and signature of Louis de Blois, captain adjutant-major in Bône (died 1845). Tears not missing and margin creased on plate34. Damage to lower cover with small loss to spine.
