Initially a theater photographer, Pierre-Olivier Deschamps' work was quickly distributed by the daily newspaper Libération. He joined the VU' agency at its creation and, as one of the very first members, he participated in the development of a new type of reportage that defines the photographer above all as an author. For the past fifteen years, Pierre-Olivier Deschamps has devoted himself more particularly to architecture, urban landscapes, design and arts and crafts, in all their forms, whatever their style, use or condition. His vision and his mastery of techniques allow him to go beyond the constraints of representation and to underline the stakes, beyond the simple photographic capture.
