Memories of the playwright Paul Jules Barbier: a knight's star of the Legion of Honor of the Second Empire model in silver, gold and enamel (tiny chips), ribbon, with the letter of announcement of the Ministry of the Household of the Emperor dated August 14, 1865 and signed by the Marshal House, the copy of the decree of appointment signed Flahaut (claw) dated August 25, 1865 and the patent printed on parchment signed napoleon (claw), dated May 1, 1866 ; an officer's star of the IIIrd Republic model in gold and enamel, eagle head hallmark, rosette ribbon, 60 x 41 mm, gross weight: 23 g, with the printed patent on vellum, signed Jules Grévy (claw) dated October 18, 1880; a bachelor of arts patent on vellum dated May 1, 1844; an officer's patent of Public Instruction on paper dated July 12, 1888; a 1st class knight's patent of the order of Philip the Magnanimous of Hesse dated December 13, 1869, with the letter of announcement in French and the statutes of the order printed; a large patent of knighthood of the order of Charles III of Spain on paper dated August 17, 1860, the letter of announcement, the official translation, the copy of the decree authorizing the wearing and the patent of authorization of wearing on vellum with the painted decoration, dated December 28, 1863. Joined two small notebooks of handwritten poem collections from the years 1842 and 1849. Paul Jules Barbier (1825-1901), playwright and poet, he wrote many librettos for composers such as Georges Bizet, Charles Gounod, Victor Massé, Camille Saint-Saëns, Ambroise Thomas.
