Guy de la Rochefoucauld (1855-1912). Some... - Lot 7 - Beaussant Lefèvre & Associés
Guy de la Rochefoucauld (1855-1912). Some watercolors of Count Guy de la Rochefoucauld. Paris Le Goupy, 1914. A volume in folio, oblong, in its light blue percaline case, stamped, in gold, with the author's arms and signature. Guy de La Rochefoucauld, president of the Société des Aquarellistes Amateurs, belonged to the branch of Estissac, and had married, like his brother, the Duke of Estissac, a Rochechouart-Mortemart. The watercolors evoke the Paris of the Belle Époque, Brittany and Picardy (Soissons and its surroundings where the artist, disciple of Pierre Vignal, had his property). Among his descendants, we note the following families: Archer, Besson, Bonnefous, Boret, Cardon, Cardon de Rougé, Champagne de Labriolle, de Châteauneuf-Randon du Tournel, de Cossé Brissac, Couvreur, Dalle, du Fresne de Virel, Gaignault, Guillaumin, Huard de Verneuil, Jardim, Jouslin de Pisseloup de Noray, Lavoine, Lemyre, Lombard, de Milleville, Mol, Morel, Petersen, Pimont de Cecire de Honnaville, de Rougé, Sanders, de Schonen, de Soye, de Talhouët, Tanguy, de Witasse-Thézy, Zoghbi de Medlege Guilani, Zoubov.
