Flat flat bell in 950 silver with a round shape, with a softness underlined by mouldings of heart stripes and water leaves, the pinecone grip on a leafy mound, engraved with the monogram of Josephine Bonaparte in a shield. Paris, 1798-1809. Goldsmith: Biennais and Marie Joseph Gabriel Genu. (Slight shocks). Diameter: 26 cm - Height: 18,5 cm Weight: 1,165 kg In 1801-1802, Biennais had his hallmark (a monkey and a B) inscribed, he extended his activity from tabletting to goldsmithing and frequently collaborated with Marie Joseph Gabriel Genu (received Master in 1788). Biennais received the title of "goldsmith of the first consul" before becoming Goldsmith of the Emperor. Provenance: Imperial family.
