PRINCE VICTOR NAPOLÉON
Belgian Mauser rifle model 1889, calibre 7,65 mm. 69 cm barrel with rise, struck with thunder "ETAT BELGE BIRMINGHAM". Bronzed and blued iron fittings. 33 cm walnut stock with label of the imperial collections in aluminium "4515", with punches and stamp dated 1889. Total length: 127 cm The number of the weapon and the date of manufacture suggest an extremely early manufacture. Offered by Colonel Loiselet to the Princess Napoleon during her visit in Birmingham on March 10, 1916. Provenance: Imperial family.
