LES IMPÉNITENTS
Set of illustrated books published by the bibliophily society Les Impénitents. Founded by Francis
Garnung and J.-J.-J. Rigal under the patronage of Jean
Cocteau, this society published 29 works between 1955 and 1985. The particularity of the publications of this association is that each book is illustrated with copper engravings by a young artist under the patronage of a well-known artist who executes the frontispiece.
These works are all in-4 in sheets with the title, text, frontispiece and illustrations, copies numbered 20, 47 or 69, most of them enriched with signed illustrations or sequels, edition from 140 to 200 copies, all have the publisher's slipcase and are in good general condition with some dirt and wear on the slipcase.
