Pair of covered pots of round form and their lining in vermeil 84 zolotnik (875 thousandths) with decoration in application of putti carrying horns of plenty, the neck underlined by a frieze decorated with female deities supporting garlands of flowers and peacocks. The ovoid frets. Saint Petersburg, 1823 or 1825. Goldsmith : Johann Willhelm Keibel. Assayer : Alexandre Yashinov. (Shocks, removable godroned bases, hallmarked under the bottom of the lining, unmarked lids). Height : 15 cm - Weight : 1,645 kg Johann Willhelm Keibel (1788-1862), son of Otto Keibel, made boxes, objets d'art and badges. He worked for the imperial family.
