Round miniature on ivory, portrait of Jacques Sébastien Dautriche in a wooden frame. On the back a handwritten label "Dautriche, deputy to the 1st legislative assembly October 1st 1791 then to the convention, September 21st 1792, did not vote the death of the King. Councillor at the Royal Court of Poitiers under Louis XVIII" End of the 18th or beginning of the 19th century. Diameter of the miniature : 70 mm Frame : Height : 136 mm - Width : 135 mm Jacques Sébastien Dautriche was a French politician born on November 26, 1750 in Saint-Jean-d'Angély (Charente-Maritime) and died on January 20, 1830 in the same place. A lawyer, he was president of the district court in 1790. He was a deputy at the Convention and sat with the moderates, voting for the detention of Louis XVI. He entered the Council of Ancients on 23 Vendemiaire, Year IV. In 1800, he was a judge at the Court of Appeal of Poitiers and retired as a magistrate in 1824.
