Ordre de Saint-Louis - Lot of five silver tokens, one of which is unpublished: - Two with the profile of Louis XV on the right, one unpublished showing the king in cuirass signed D.V., the cuirass edged with lilies, 30 mm (although the profile of this token engraved around 1753 is known, its association with the Order of Saint-Louis is unpublished and not referenced in Christophe Guimarães' study); one showing the king in habit signed DU VIVIER, 31.2 mm, Gms L.XV-3, for both, on the reverse, Saint Louis standing in armor and royal mantle, holding in his right hand the crown of thorns, nails and a veil, and in his left a spectre, legend "FIRMATUR CONSILIO VIRTUS", 29.9 to 31 mm. - Two in profile of Louis XVI on the right with nude bust signed DU VIV (Duvivier), Gms LXVI-14, same reverse as above, 30.2 and 30.7 mm. - One octagonal with profile of Louis XVI right in armor, wearing the sash of the Holy Spirit and Golden Fleece, legend "LUD.XVI REX CHRISTIANISS.", signed LORTHIOR F., reverse showing the cross of the Order girded with a sash bearing the motto of the Order "BELLICÆ VIRTUTIS PRÆMIUM" surrounded by a laurel wreath and legend "LUD.
