Nicolas JACQUES (1780-1844) Presumed Portrait of Jean Pépin Lehalleur, President of the Commercial Court Oval miniature, signed and dated 1814. Gold and enamel frame. 3.8 x 3.3 cm Nicolas Jacques exhibited regularly at the Salon between 1804 and 1840. A pupil of David and Isabey, he was considered one of the finest miniaturists of his generation.
