Antonucci VOLTI (1915 - 1989) "Nikaia" Patinated bronze proof, signed, numbered E.A, cire perdue E. Godard fondeur. Height: 15.5 cm Length: 32 cm. We would like to thank Nicolas Antoniucci for kindly confirming the authenticity of this proof, and for pointing out that this Volti sculpture is not a reduction, but a small model of Nikaia allongée that he made before (as he regularly did for his works, which he took to monumental heights) making a larger sculpture on this theme. Nikaia allongée followed this path from sketch to monumental, as there is a stone sculpture over 2m20 long belonging to the city of Nice. In principle, and subject to having seen it, this cast is an old cast, probably produced in 6 copies and one EA ... as he did until 1975, when he switched to numbering on 8 and 4 EA.
