Rare Invalides pensioner's sword. Horn butt (watermark missing). Chased brass mounting, eagle pommel, single-branch hilt. Keyboard decorated with a crowned cuirass on a background of intersecting cannons and flag clusters. Short counter-keyboard decorated with an enfouded spindle. Klingenthal blade with median ridge. Stamped "H.D.I", "52" and "DELACOUR" on the reverse of the keyboard. A.B.E. SF. Second Empire period.
