Large standing female sculpture. Her left arm is raised, her hand resting on the back of her neck. The other is resting on the back of her shoulder. She is wearing a long skirt decorated with geometric motifs in cream-colored triangles and dotted lines. A belt holds it around her waist, while her bosom is left bare. She is adorned with a necklace and circular earrings. A headband encircles her head and falls down her back. The Tala-Tonalá style is characterized by soft forms and a mastery of the art of ceramics, with perfectly executed large-scale works. Brown hollowware with red slip and cream decorations. Jalisco culture, Tala-Tonalá style, Proto-classical, Mexico, 100 B.C. - 250 A.D.
