Austria - Royal Hungarian Order of St. Stephen, silver grand cross plaque chased with openwork diamond points, the center in several delicately chased and mounted parts, the armoires, the Empress Maria Theresa's cypher and the oak wreath in gold, each point reinforced on the reverse, toggle pin attachment hallmarked "CF ROTHE WIEN" and twice "A" Vienna, the back bears the greyhound head title, "FR" and "A" hallmarks. In the original red morocco case, the lid richly decorated with gilded friezes and palmettes, stamped in the center with the royal crown of St. Stephen, the interior bearing the gilded mark of Rothe & Neffe in Vienna (the velvet background shows slight traces of oxidation). 91x90mm Austria, circa 1900.
