- Tôshû Tamate (1795-1871) Woman with beater A young woman is softening fabric with a beater in her right hand. She is crouched in front of her work. Chuban tate-e: 23.2 x 17.5 cm - Tôkoen (active 19th century) Fukurokuju Fukurokuju, one of the seven gods of happiness, is depicted as a merchant in the rain. He tries in vain to shelter his large head under an umbrella. At his side is a little boy making faces. Signed Tôkoen ga. Surimono shikishiban: 21.3 x 16.3 cm - Two children and Hotei The signature is the title of a Chinese poem: Buryôka. Red seal: Buryô. Surimono shikishiban: 19.3 x 22.1 cm Fairly good condition, lined, wormholes, creasing. - Hokido (?) Cloth, folded paper and egoyomi. On the lid of a box is inscribed the name of a gift of choice tôsarasa, Persian-printed cotton from China. The fabric next to it is folded in such a way that the flowery print is next to the egoyomi, a calendar, stamped on the same fabric. On the left are noshi, folded ornamental papers bearing compliments. Signed Hokidô and Hyappan seal. Date : 1817. Surimono : 14.3 x 19 cm The whole set.
