Ushiwaka-maru sits in the house next to a candle, receiving greetings from the couple Ise no Saburô. They kneel on the veranda with all due respect to their master. Kneeling on the ground in the garden are three figures from Ise no Saburô's retinue. One is a lumberjack with his masakari (axe) and the other two are hunters with their arrows, bows and straw hoods.
