Petit in-8, garnet morocco, smooth spine decorated with golden latticework, gilt edges (18th century binding). French translation and commentary by Jean de Montlyard. Illustration engraved on copperplate by several artists including Crispijn Van de Passe. Provenance: leather ex-libris with the arms of the Du Tillet family. - MONTESQUIEU (Charles-Louis de Secondat de). The Temple of Gnide. In Paris, from the printing house of Didot jeune, the year III. On the back of the false title:] Found at Bozérian [...] 1795. Small in-12, long-grained red morocco, smooth ornamented back, gilt frame on the plates with "FD" number on the first plate, gilt edges (rel. p. Bozerian). Illustration engraved on copperplate after Jean-Jacques Le Barbier and Regnault.
