LETTERS OF NOBILITY. - LOUIS XV. Letters patent signed (secretary), countersigned on the flap by the Secretary of State of the House of the King, Jean-Frédéric Phélypeaux de MAUREPAS, with the mention "the Duke of Orléans Regent present", and with, also on the flap, an autograph visa signed by the Keeper of the Seals and Director of the principal administration of Finance Marc-René of Voyer Paulmy d'ARGENSON. Paris, July 1718. 1 f. of oblong, in-plane parchment, remnants of 2 seals affixed to silk lakes. Letters granted jointly to the three Lallier brothers: Adrien-Jules, sieur Des Louvries, sub-brigadier in the Company of the Light Horsemen of the King's Guard, knight of the Military Order of Saint-Louis, Pierre, captain serving in the same company, and Gabriel, former captain in the Vermandois Regiment. The act details the brilliant actions they carried out on the battlefields during their careers, and the injuries they received. PAINTED CABINETS in the centre of the page. Attached to this act by a link in the lower left corner are the proofs of recordings from the parliament of Rouen (1718, 4 pp. in-4 on parchment) and the Court of Auditors, Aids and Finances of Rouen (1719, 4 pp. in-4 on parchment). ATTACHED: 38 LETTERS AND PIECES CONCERNING THE LALLIER BROTHERS, signed by the DUC DE LUYNES ET DE CHEVREUSE, Charles Honoré d'Albert (1701), by the son of the latter, DUC DE MONTFORT, Honoré Charles d'Albert (1704), by the son of the latter, DUC DE CHAULNES, Louis-Auguste d'Albert d'Ailly (1714-1717), etc.
